"Beyond Business" - a Forum of Italian Entrepreneurs in Bulgaria

On June 28^th, 2012 the subsequent "Beyond Business" event was held at "Devnya Cement" JSC in the town of Devnya. Earlier this year, the company was awarded the Class A Investor Certificate by the Prime Minister of Bulgaria for the start of its new investment valued at EUR 160 million – the construction of a new production line for cement and clinker.

The event was attended by more than 30 companies - Italian investors in the region who had the opportunity to visit the existing cement plant facilities and construction site of the new production line. The guests discussed important topics related to the sustainable development of Varna region. Such forums provide a common ground for mutual cooperation and exchange of best practices. These forums facilitate the exchange of mutually beneficial information, the sharing of ideas and the formulation of a basis for future business collaboration. A large number of large Italian investors as well as many small and medium businesses operating in different areas of the economy are based in Bulgaria. One of the target business segments of Generali Bulgaria are exactly these small and medium enterprises, where the company invests in the development of specialized products.

Generali Bulgaria and Confindustria Bulgaria launched the creation of the "Beyond Business" forum in 2011. The concept of ​​these meetings is to invite and bring together Italian entrepreneurs, companies operating in different regions of the country, members of the Italian Association, together with experts and representatives of the Generali Group. Confindustria Bulgaria, founded ten years ago, is a private association of Italian enterprises working in Bulgaria. Nowadays, the organization has more than 250 members working in all fields: manufacturing, energy, construction, agricolture and services.
