CEZ Organized First Spartakiada for The Employees of The Company

400 people divided in 20 teams competed against each other in the competitions which took place at the sport base of University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”

CEZ Bulgaria held its first Spartakiada for the employees of the company. It took place between June 15^th and 17^th 2012 at the sport base of University of Mining and Geology. 20 teams demonstrated high sport motivation and skills by taking part in the individual and group competitions such as football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, rope pulling, running and power triathlon.

“The sport cultivates us and helps us build our future. I am sure that every investment in the health of our employees is a priceless investment in the future. That is why I believe that this event will unite us and will strengthen our company’s corporate values. With the first Spartakiada of CEZ we set the ground for a wonderful tradition,” said Peter Baran, Chief Operative Director of CEZ Bulgaria.

After the end of the event Mr. Baran and the deputy minister of physical education and sport Ivan Tsonev planted a tree in the UMG campus in honor of the sport spirit and the first Spartakiada for employees of CEZ.

CEZ offers sport opportunities for the children of its employees as well. Sport fests and tourist excursions for the children are organized on a regular basis. The company is planning to open special sport camps in order to stimulate children’s desire to practice sports.
