Over 500 volunteers took part in the initiative "My Green City" and cleaned the area around the Perlovska river in the South Park, thus preventing more than 9000 kg of CO2 being released into the air inhaled by the citizens of Sofia.
This is one of the results from the initiative "My Green City" organized for the third consecutive year by Coca-Cola and the Bulgarian Society for Protection of Birds, and with the support of Sofia Municipality. The focus of the project is to protect the wealth of water and biodiversity while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The aim of the organizers is to increase the number of people committed to nature conservation through examples of how each individual should stop polluting the environment.
