The Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF) will hold the 2010 "Together" awards in recognition of the best fundraising campaign over the last year. The official ceremony of the awards, organized for the fifth consecutive time, will take place on July 1st (Thursday) from 18.00 -19.00 pm in Sofia Hall of Grand Hotel Sofia.
The aim of the awards "Together" is to encourage institutions, companies and individuals to get involved in initiatives for raising funds for important social causes. The "Together" awards were initiated by WCIF as part of their endeavor to disseminate good fundraising practices happening in Bulgaria.
WCIF is noting a positive trend in donor initiatives which are becoming more professional, focused and successful in achieving tangible results, leading to increased social responsibility in the Bulgarians community.
During the ceremony presented will be an interesting model meant for local philanthropy - the model of community foundations in Bulgaria which currenlty manage donations of many local donors to support important social causes at the local level.
