TELUS Days of Giving volunteers continue to transform the lives of local communities

For yet another year in a row, more than 400 team members of TELUS Digital Bulgaria from Sofia and Plovdiv, along with their friends and families, came together for TELUS Days of Giving. This year's event mission was to create an inclusive and supportive environment for children and youth at the Complex for Social Services in the neighborhood of Gorna Banya, Sofia in partnership with Programa Generation. The complex provides essential daycare for children with disabilities and their families, along with educational and psychological support for foster parents. It also offers temporary housing for displaced youth and young adults aged 15 to 20.

In just one day, the volunteers rolled up their sleeves and transformed the surrounding environment of the complex, renovating 13 zones, cleaning a 5,000 sq.m. area, removing tons of litter. They also repainted the fences and the old playground, built a brand new greenhouse, paved pathways, installed benches, and created vibrant garden spaces, planting flowers and new trees. With more than 3,000 volunteer hours dedicated, the event showcased the power of community spirit in creating real change.

TELUS Days of Giving is TELUS Digital's largest volunteer initiative, inspired by the company's philosophy - "We give where we live". TELUS Days of Giving has been held in Bulgaria since 2013, within these 12 years, over 8,000 volunteers have donated 50,000 hours of voluntary work for the benefit of socially significant causes and nature conservation.
