IBLF: "Bulgaria's experience is requested from all over the world."

From July 13 to 15, the BBLF community was visited by two of IBLF highest-ranking representatives: Ms. Susan Simpson, IBLF Global Network Director, and Ms. Lana Narancic, IBLF Southeastern Europe Director.

The occasion of their visit was the farewell party of BBLF's co-founder and first Chairman Bill Drysdale, who is leaving Bulgaria after some 8 years of work for this country, the last four of which he spent as Advisor to the Prime Minister's Office.

Ms. Simpson and Ms. Narancic met with the BBLF Managing Board, as well as with some of BBLF's most active partners in promoting CSR in Bulgaria: UNDP, Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation, the Balkan Children and Youth Foundation, OMV Bulgaria, Her Majesty's Ambassador Jeremy Hill.

"We at the IBLF have been getting numerous requests from all over the world to provide more information on what the BBLF has done to achieve so much in promoting CSR across the country. Here is why we believe it is only the next natural thing for the Forum to start sharing its experience with other Balkan countries," said Susan Simpson.

Currently IBLF has been pulling efforts to form a new CSR organisation in Russia, very closely based on the Bulgarian experience.

There are BLFs functioning also in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, China, the US, Japan, and Latin America.

The International Business Leaders Forum is one of the organisations founded by and acting under the patronage of HRH The Prince of Wales. Its work is focused on promoting corporate citizenship as a fundamental tool for achieving sustainable development throughout the world. The programmes developed by the IBLF span over issues like employees' healthcare, education, young business leaders, corporate conduct, business ethics, etc.
