GLOBUL Sends Two Winners to the Telenor Youth Summit 2014

Melania Berbatova and Tsvetelina Kalcheva are the winners in GLOBUL youth contest and will represent Bulgaria in the second edition of the Telenor Youth Summit in Oslo.

The contest was held at two stages and participants were asked to share how they see digital technologies play a role in bringing social change and opportunities for people. For the first time, winners presented not only ideas but projects that they had already implemented. The first one facilitates users’ access to various online courses that can be filtered according to each individual’s needs, and the second one is aimed at raising young people’s awareness about major public and political events by using interactive tools such as charts, photos, animations, etc.

Telenor Youth Summit 2014 will be held from 9 to 11 December in Oslo and the company will cover the two winners’ travel, food and accommodation expenses. At the event, the two Bulgarians will have the chance to meet another 26 socially engaged young people from all over the world, to discuss their ideas for positive change in the society and to learn from international experts and change makers. In addition, participants in the youth summit will also watch live the Nobel Peace Prize event and will be invited to the Nobel Peace Prize Concert which is usually attended by many celebrities.

Telenor Youth Summit is held for the second time as a global initiative for exchanging opinions on the way mobile communications technologies can encourage growth and positive change the society. It is organized in collaboration with the Nobel Peace Center, one of Telenor’s strategic sponsorships.
