The corporate racing of Begach Running Club will take place on June 8^th

in Business Park Sofia

The second corporate relay race organised by Begach Running Club (www.businessrun.begach.com) and supported by Postbank (www.postbank.bg) is just a couple of weeks ahead. After the successful first edition, which was part of Sofia Evening Run in October 2013, it is now organised as a separate event. The race will take place on 8 June, 10 a.m., and participating companies will compete in Business Park Sofia. The registration is open until 30 May or until the limit of 200 teams is reached; it is open to all companies in Bulgaria.

According to the rules, each team consists of 4 mates who have to run 4 km each. The track is 1 km long, which means that each runner has to cover 4 lags before handing the relay over. The teams will receive aluminium relay batons certified by IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations), and the running time will be clocked down by an electronic chip attached to the race number.

The event aims not only to stimulate a healthy lifestyle  but to promote charity too. This year Begach Running Club supports Best Start for Every Child, the UNICEF project implemented in partnership that aims to develop a network of maternal and child health centres. To support this cause 30% of the event registration fee will be donated and each company is invited to donate an additional amount through the registration form.

In 2013, the corporate relay of Begach and Postbank involved 120 teams from 70 companies with a total of 480 runners. The three fastest teams were from the IT sector which was the industry with most representatives. This year the goal is to attract 200 corporate teams to participate in the race. Postbank supports the event as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.

Sports Club "Begach" is a non-profit organisation founded in 2012. The Club’s purpose is to promote running, outdoor activities and donations.
