Prompted by the complicated circumstances of healthcare provided to refugees in transit centres in the town of Elhovo Actavis made a donation to the local hospital.
The contribution worth 35,000 leva includes first necessity medicines such as anti-inflammatory drugs, cardiovascular drugs, antihistamines, antibiotics, children’s syrups, intravenous therapy bags, vitamins, pain-killers, intravenous antibiotics, eye drops.
Actavis is also carrying out a fund-raising campaign among employees at the commercial and production legs of the company. The amount will be used to buy disinfectants, soap, nappies, personal hygiene consumables, disposable latex medical gloves and surgical masks. The consumables will be donated to the refugee centres in Elhovo in partnership with the Bulgarian Red Cross regional office in Yambol.
