Project description

Project Aim

IDEA aims to make sure everyone in our company feels included, no matter their background, and spreading the same spirit of acceptance in our communities. Internally, we're working to create an environment where everyone, regardless of race, gender, or who they are, feels valued and welcome. Externally, we actively engage with the communities where we operate, seeking to contribute to a more inclusive and aware society. Our goal is simple: create a workplace where everyone belongs and help make our communities more understanding and accepting for everyone. IDEA focusеs on fostering inclusivity and awareness. It stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness. The program comprised workshops, presentations, and training sessions strategically aligned with global awareness days.

Project Target Group

Internally, all our 300+ employees in Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. We work with them to create an environment where everyone feels valued and welcome. Through live and online meetings tailored to local specifics, as well as global awareness days. These are seminars, presentations and workshops on gender equality, LGBT rights, empowerment of people with disabilities, etc. The events highlight our dedication to foster a diverse workplace culture and build an inclusive environment for all

Project Duration

Year round In 2023, we introduced IDEA - focused on inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness at the workplace. We had to add meaning to these words and accommodate local cultural understandings. This is a natural extension of our Kin + Carta Philanthropy Program, directed outward to the communities we are a part of in the various markets. Every month we organize thematic workshops and discussions for our employees on various topics to keep them informed, motivated and empowered.

Project Activities

All year, our IDEA Program organized events to help us understand and appreciate each other better. We had workshops, talks, and training sessions that matched up with the global IDEA calendar, so they were always meaningful, diversified and efficient. In March, we focused on Women's Month, talking about fairness and making sure everyone feels strong. April was about Autism Acceptance, helping us learn and accept differences. May was about Mental Health, making it okay to talk and supporting each other. June was special; we joined local prides in Sofia and Skopje, standing with others who support human rights. July was Disability Pride, saying everyone is welcome. October was about Breast Cancer Awareness, supporting the global effort to know more and help more. November was dedicated to Men’s health awareness. All those events are part of our ongoing promise to include everyone and create a workplace where everyone feels at home - heard, understood and welcome.
