Project Aim
One of the strategic goals of Schwarz IT Bulgaria is environmental conservation. In 2022, the company took on the commitment to preserve the cleanliness of the Loven Park in Sofia. They chose this location as one of the oldest parks in the capital, preserved in its natural state without modern infrastructure, giving the feel of being in a forest in the heart of Sofia. The company created a free mobile application with the straightforward name Love'n Park. The application provides visitors with information about the park's history, the diversity of flora and fauna. Its most vital function is the ability for visitors to report observed irregularities and issues in the park, which Schwarz IT employees forward to the Sofia Municipality for necessary actions.
Project Target Group
The company engages its employees and their families in cleaning and preserving the park. It promotes the mobile application among Sofia residents, the media, and sports clubs. Its messages reach people of all ages who visit the park. It also works to involve municipal authorities in specific actions.
Project Duration
The project kicked off in 2022 with a cleaning initiative organized by Schwarz IT, and the development of a mobile application for its conservation. The company commits to long-term care for the park, aiming to reach more people and thereby create a strong community, even when there is no need for a cleaning campaign. Provides the development for free to companies or organizations that wish to use it for other parks and landmarks.
Project Activities
For two consecutive years, the company has organized cleaning initiatives for the park established in 1878. The initiative brings together over 200 employees and their families who take part in the park’s cleaning and maintenance.
The IT company's team has developed and provided a free mobile application Love'n Park, accessible to any visitor. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play. It offers visitors interesting information about the park's history, its variety of flora and fauna, and other attractions.
The main function of Love'n Park is reporting irregularities and issues in the park, which are sent to Sofia Municipality for necessary actions. An online version is available at https://love-n-park.com/.
The official presentation of the application to the media and partners includes a media and digital campaign. On-site BTL campaigns are also conducted.
Efforts have been made to attract students from the Technical University of Sofia studying environmental science.
The company provides the application for free to other companies and organizations interested in using it for the conservation of other parks
Project Results
Two actions with over 400 participants were organized to clean the park.
An information campaign was held to present the initiative and the way for everyone to become an active participant in the protection of the park via two quick and easy steps.
Over 200 guests attended a special event for the application's launch. Nearly 5000 flyers with information about the park and the application have been distributed.
Media coverage included 3 TV reports, 4 radio interviews, and 28 media publications. Additionally, a paid report was featured on the bTV channel.
On social media, the initiative has reached 12,000 users, contributing to a broad online presence and awareness.
