Project Aim
The financial literacy among Bulgarian students is alarmingly low, the educational system inadequately addresses these critical issues. Families bear the primary responsibility for imparting knowledge about personal finances and financial habits. Simultaneously, they harbor apprehensions about tackling the subject, either due to lack of understanding or failure to recognize its significance. Through a captivating art provocation, the My Money initiative endeavors to bring attention to the crucial aspects of fostering strong financial culture and to direct public focus towards its significance for the overall prosperity of the society. The initiative is a platform for effectively promoting educational content and training workshops, providing essential tools to parents and teachers.
Project Target Group
Through a multifaceted approach, the initiative endeavors to build a comprehensive network of support, engaging families, teachers, and media to collectively contribute to the promotion of financial education and awareness. The initiative encompasses a range of interconnected target audiences, including:
- Families with children up to 12 years of age (both parents and children)
- Teachers from primary education
- Media as ambassadors of knowledge
Project Duration
The initiative spans a core active duration of 4 months, commencing from the initiation of the contest in March and culminating in the award ceremony and the exhibition in June. The deliberate extension of time reflects the commitment to sustaining and nurturing interest in financial literacy. Even beyond the campaign's conclusion, a series of ongoing educational meetings persist in schools and companies. The monthly financial literacy newsletter continues to grow in popularity and audience.
