Project Aim

Yettel's Recycle and Save campaign is part of the company's overall sustainability strategy and aims to reduce environmental e-waste. It enables users to hand in their old devices to the operator's stores to be recycled or repaired. Every month, the telecom offers various discounts and promotions within the campaign to motivate consumers further to recycle and apply sustainability principles in their daily lives, thus contributing to the protection of nature.

Project Target Group

All users of electronic devices who show concern with the topics of sustainability and ways to reduce the footprint we leave on nature. The campaign aims to reach those who want to start taking care of the environment and are looking for appropriate ways.

Project Duration

The "Recycle and Save" campaign was launched in June 2022 and aimed to be an ongoing initiative of the operator. It is linked to the company's sustainable development strategy and goals for the next five years. Anyone can hand in their end-of-life devices and accessories for recycling at any time of the year at over 180 sites across the country.

Project Activities

Aware of its responsibility to reduce e-waste and its negative impact on the environment, Yettel launched a national campaign for its collection in 2008. All the operator's stores were equipped with collection points for the devices. They are inspected and handed over for full or partial recycling or repaired if possible. In June 2021, Yettel built on its efforts in this direction by creating the "Recycle and Save" campaign. With it, the company allowed all users to hand in their old devices, motivating them with additional discounts and promotions. The campaign's promotion was also supported by educational TV advertising and additional media coverage to raise awareness of the importance of proper e-waste disposal and the harm it causes to the environment.

Project Results

Telecoms take special care in protecting nature and building a more sustainable future.
