In Bulgaria, every year about 300,000 mattresses from homes and places of accommodation go out of use. This makes as a volume about 90,000 m3 volume. These mattresses are formally crumpled up as much as possible and disposed of in landfills, which takes up a resource from landfill cell volume. We aim to gradually change the attitude of consumers about the responsible use of the mattress and its fate after it is out of use.

The outcome of the project is mainly for the environment and society. The effect is directed beyond it as the target group is: individuals and businesses with accommodation management.

The project started in 2022. We have a control period of one year, in which the details of its implementation in other places in the country must be specified. Our goal is to build two more sites within a few years and cover a larger volume of discarded mattresses.

Participation in the annual meeting of Municipalities in Bulgaria "Albena 2022", Meetings with industry organizations. Meetings with families in chimera markets and distribution of information brochures 15,000 pcs.
