Sneakers Day is a CSR campaign which aims to draw the societyРІР‚в„ўs attention to the consequences of the lack of physical activity.
By wearing our sneakers on Sneakers Day, we would like to address all health problems caused by the lack of physical activity and the sedentary lifestyle, and to motivate as many people as we can to be active and to do sports not just on this day, but throughout the whole year.
Project Target Group
We are targeting all employers and their employees. By wearing our sneakers to work, we are helping the Bulgarian employers to encourage their employees to be more active and to take care of their health.
Project Duration
The Sneakers Day campaign was organized in 2019 for the first time. The duration of the project was one day, on the first spring Friday of 2019 – 22.03.2019.
Project Activities
Individual approach to the employers and their employees:
- We provided ideas for sports activities suitable for an office environment
- We prepared materials for the employers that supported the cause
- We gave them the opportunity to share why they are supporting the campaign
Promoting the campaign
- Some of Benefit Systems’ employees became ambassadors of the campaign. They had to wear sneakers to work and to promote the campaign
- We created a webpage which served for:
o Introducing the campaign and the partners
o Providing materials for download which aimed to promote the campaign
o Monitoring the number of the companies that supported the cause
- Social media
o Hashtag - #SneakersDay2019
o Facebook profile picture frame
o Facebook and LinkedIn cover photos
o Testimonials from employers who support the cause
- TV interview about Sneakers Day at the office of one of our partners
We had no desire to seek funding which means that we didn't have additional funding for the campaign.
Project Results
The end result is that we managed to inspire over 50 000 working people to think about how easily they can make the change towards a more active and healthier lifestyle. All those people believed in the idea that sport means health and that sport is for everyone.
We were supported by 35 companies, 7 institutional and 8 media partners. Over 250 companies and around 50 000 employees joined the cause. We had 75 positive media publications.
