WWF registered its representative office in Bulgaria in 2006. Since then, we have been dedicated to protecting Bulgaria's forests, rivers, and protected areas. We also work to limit climate change, protect iconic species such as the brown bear and the Danube sturgeon, and monitor violations of nature conservation legislation. We engage Bulgarian youth in education and innovation related to environmental protection.
We cooperate with other nature conservation organizations and institutions, as well as with businesses, media, schools, and universities. We are part of the coalition of non-governmental organizations "To Keep Nature in Bulgaria."
Against the backdrop of declining animal and plant species, increasing natural disasters, and frequent extreme weather events, we need hope more than ever. We are working for a future with protected nature, fresh water, and clean energy for all. A future of prosperity and hope. For nature and for us.
