91 corporate entries with social impact in the prestigious Annual Responsible Business Awards 2025

60 companies vie for the prestigious awards organised by the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum for the 23rd consecutive year

91 corporate entries with social impact compete in the prestigious 2025 Annual Responsible Business Awards. 60 companies vie for the prestigious awards in the competition the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) has held annually since 2003.

For 23 years now, the Annual Responsible Business Awards have recognized effective investments in projects that contribute to social good and corporate sustainability. BBLF's goal is to encourage good practices and promote successful corporate programmes that benefit employees, nature, and society.

Companies from all sectors, regardless of BBLF membership participate in the competition titled Lead by Example. Thus, the Awards showcase corporate commitment to social challenges in areas such as education, ecology, culture, sports, healthcare, and support for various social groups.

This year’s most competitive categories are: Investor in the Community with 32 entries, Investor in Knowledge – 20 entries, and Investor in Human Capital and Working Conditions – 17 entries.

Ten entries are competing in the Cause-Related Marketing category. Seven entries are competing for the Investor in the Environment award.

Five nominations are competing in the Diversity at the Workplace category, initiated by the Bulgarian Diversity Charter to recognize best practice in promoting diverse teams, equal opportunities, and an inclusive professional environment. The winner gets an extra bonus as the company will be invited to attend the high-profile launch of EU Diversity Month in late April in Brussels.

11 companies compete for the Best Social Policy of a Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (all SMEs run for it regardless of category).

An unbiassed and independent jury  of recognized experts from various sectors – institutions, civil society, academia, and the media – evaluates the nominations against the following criteria: specific benefits to the community, quality of the plan and its implementation, involvement of employees and partners, creativity and innovation, public response and recognition.

All nominations also compete for the special Engage award for employee contribution to a social good campaign granted by the British Embassy in Sofia.

The winners and finalists, ranked second and third, will be announced at an official award ceremony on 16 March. The event showcases all entries, and these are subsequently published in the Awards archive on BBLF’s website.
