The “Sport Talents” programme of Eurofootball distinguished 23 winners

The Sport Talents programme of Eurofootball distinguished 23 winners in 14 different disciplines. The names of the winners were announced at a ceremony in the "Museum of Sport" in Sofia on February 28, 2013. The young athletes received a symbolic check with the amount of their funding. Ekaterina Mihaylova – General Manager of Eurofootball and chairman of the Advisory Group, personally welcomed the Bulgarian Sport talents. In her address to them she shared her joy that our country has so many talented and hard-working people who know what they are capable of, know how to claim it and how to achieve it. “We believe that these are our best invested money – in the name of Bulgaria’s sport future.”, Mihaylova said to the talents.

Iliyana Nikolova, Executive Director of “Workshop for Civic Initiative” Foundation, which is Eurofootball’s partner in the implementation of the programme, expressed her appreciation to the 30-member Advisory Group that evaluated the projects.

The 3 times Olympic medalist Evgenia Radanova is a member of the Advisory Group for the second consecutive year. This year, another winner of two silver medals at the Paralympic Games in London Stella Eneva joined the Group, together with the swimmer Petar Stoychev ant coach №1 in Bulgaria for 2012 Mihail Takov, as well as by many other sports figures, public figures and representatives of the media partners of the programme.

The total amount that the Bulgarian bookmaker gives to the Bulgarian sport talents is 58 196 leva. Each of the funded projects receives up to 5 000 leva. The selected young people will use the funds for training camps, participation in contests, equipment and other. In the next few days will be announced the launch of voting for "Sports Talent of the audience," which will select another athlete for funding.

The programme “Sport Talents” is part of the broad social project of "Eurofootball" - "Win and help" which the company began developing in 2007.
