AstraZeneca Bulgaria is among the companies that have achieved the coveted Ruban d’Honneur status in the prestigious European Business Awards (EBA) 2012/13. The company is among the 10 finalists in the Employer of the year category. This recognition is the final step before the official announcement of the winners in each of the ten individual award categories. Prizes are bestowed to companies who are picked for their business accomplishments as well as their dynamism, focus and ethical standards.
Intensive face-to-face interview sessions with the judging panels will now take place before the ten overall category winners are announced at a gala event in April 2013.
Over the past two months, an esteemed panel of judges made up of European business leaders, academics and entrepreneurs has assessed the 200 companies that made it through to the National Champions stage of the awards. From these, 100 businesses from 28 countries across Europe have been chosen.
‘We are glad that we reached this stage of the competition. We are proud that the award ranks AstraZeneca Bulgaria among the fastest growing companies in Europe. Ruban D'Honneur prize gives us an opportunity to introduce our achievements in detail in front of an esteemed panel of judges, as well as to compare our business practices with the best ones in Europe,’ said Ms. Zoya Paunova, CEO of AstraZeneca Bulgaria.
In 2012 it is the sixth edition of the European Business Awards. This year, for the first time, entrants in the European Business Awards submitted a video case study as part of the judging process. All case studies were uploaded onto the European Business Awards website and an online public voting mechanism was introduced. The companies which had more than 35,000 votes qualified for next round.
