The Anglo-American School Donates a Playground to the Pancharevo Community

Students from Grade 4 of the Anglo-American School are the designers of the new playground in Pancharevo that was inaugurated yesterday. The architects used student sketches to create the new play facilities that are now available to all residents and guests of the district. Children immediately started climbing up the enchanted “Mountain Hut”, “Wild Strawberries”, “Tree house” and “Adventures’ Hill”.

The playground was inaugurated by the Mayor of Pancharevo Mr. Sichanov, the Director of the Anglo-American School Mr. Urquhart and the directors of the local kindergarten and cultural club.

“This is a great start of the initiative to give a new look to this part of the Pancharevo area. The goal of the municipality is to create new facilities for sport and recreation of different age groups. We hope that other companies and organizations will follow the Anglo-American School’s example and get involved in the initiative", mayor Sichanov commented.

"Such an innovative approach is being implemented for the first time in Bulgaria. However, we think it makes sense for kids to design a playground for other kids", said Ms. Ignatova, Business Manager of the Anglo-American School and a leading figure in the realization of the project.

The playground is a donation from the Anglo-American School and marks the start of the modernization of an over 5,000 square meters area near the Pancharevo lake.
