Todor Sheljaskow takes the lead of the global research and development activity for medical ultrasound probes at General Electric Co. The company is the world’s biggest producer of ultrasound probes with annual income of more than 600 million dollars. Todor Sheljaskow is going to be at the head of the research and production centers of the company in USA, France, Norway, Austria, Japan and China.
General Electric Co. draws in its work a manager with rich theoretical and practical experience. Mr. Sheljaskow has started his professional career in 1994 after he graduates with honors from Technical University in Darmstadt, Germany his Master’s degree in Mechatronics. Five years later he takes a PhD degree in Electronics from Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. He is also a MBA graduate from Seattle University in USA where he receives two awards for exceptional academic results. He is the author of more than 20 European and American patents and various articles in specialized issues. Mr. Sheljaskow makes progress in the hierarchy of Siemens AG in Seattle, USA by leading international teams of specialists in medical technique. Later on he becomes business manager in General Electric Co. in Milwaukee, USA. Since 2007 Todor Sheljaskow has been manager of Eltrak Bulgaria EOOD, the official dealer for Bulgaria of Caterpillar - the technological leader in construction and mining mechanization, diesel and gas engines, generators and industrial trucks.
Under the guidance of Todor Sheljaskow Eltrak Bulgaria has established on the Bulgarian market the recognized as the world’s most productive and reliable brand – Caterpillar. The official data of the Association of the producers of construction and mining mechanization shows that Eltrak Bulgaria has tripled its market share in Bulgaria since its establishment in 2007 and continues to strengthen its positions. During the years of international markets shrinks the company has not only remained financially stable but also managed to keep its team intact.
During his work at Eltrak Bulgaria Todor Sheljaskow was elected as a member of the Consultative Council of the Confederation of the employers and industrialists in Bulgaria, and for a member of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum. Moreover in the two consecutive years 2009-2010 he was in the top 10 of the competition”Manager of the year”.
