After repair works kindergarten № 45 "Alice" will consume 30% less heat and electricity annually
CEZ and Sofia Municipality completed successfully a second joint project for renovation of a kindergarten in Sofia. After the repair, the consumption of heat and electricity of the renewed kindergarten № 45 "Alice" will decrease by 30%, or with more than 73 MWh per year, equivalent to average annual consumption of over 400 washing machines. At the same time the carbon emitted into the atmosphere will decrease with more than 23 tons per year. The funds for the repair, which amounted to BGN 70 000, were donated by CEZ.
The renovation of "Alice" is the second joint project for CEZ and Sofia Municipality for the last 12 months. As a partner of Sofia Municipality, in September 2010 CEZ invested BGN 41 000 for adaptation of the kindergarten "Sunflowers" in Slatina district to energy efficiency class A.
