The Anglo-American School of Sofia invests more than 170,000 Euros yearly in Bulgarian student scholarships

For the fifth consecutive year, the Anglo-American School of Sofia (AAS) is
inviting academically-talented Bulgarian students to apply for full scholarships.  Each scholarship covers tuition fees at AAS for the scholar's entire course of studies during the upper middle school and high school years (2-5 school years).

The Anglo-American School currently funds up to twelve (12) full academic scholarships each year as part of the school's commitment to give back to Bulgarian society.

Interested candidates should currently be in grades 7-10, be fluent in academic English, have outstanding school records and show a demonstrated financial need.  Application deadline is April 15, 2011.  Once all applications have been received, AAS will invite the most qualified candidates to take written and oral exams.

Scholars graduating from AAS receive a high school diploma recognized by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges,  In addition,
students who pass the final IB exams receive an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Such diplomas may then lead to admission to premier universities and colleges worldwide.

In July 2010 all AAS graduates, four of whom were Bulgarian Scholars, were awarded the prestigious IB Diploma and were offered acceptance to many universities around the globe.
