Safety Belts on All Seats campaign!

BBLF member Shell Bulgaria and numerous other companies, organizations and media participated in the official launch of the Safety Belts on All Seats campaign that will take place in Bulgaria within the European Week of Traffic Safety from the 7th - 13th of March, 2011.

The focus of the campaign is to promote and increase the use of safety belts on all seats in cars and safety systems used for transporting children. The aim is to set up a public-private partnership in the groundwork of a strong national campaign to reduce substantially the number of victims in road accidents in the country.

Any company, organization or media wishing to join in the efforts of the campaign could do so by signing the Joint Declaration of Intent and sending it to адрес paradigma2@abv.bg.

The theme of the campaign was decided at the Working Conference on Integrated Campaign on Road Safety in Bulgaria held at the end of October, 2010.  The conference was part of a project for the exchange of knowledge and working experiences on traffic security between the Netherlands and Bulgaria. The knowledge exchange was initiated with a signed Memorandum by the Interior Ministries of both countries in 2006.
