Top Models and Women who Overcame Breast Cancer in a Fashion Show

Today, there was a special show in which top Bulgarian model together with 8 courageous women who overcame breast cancer presented the newest collections of autumn/winter 2008/2009 of three leading Italian brands - Stefanel, Benetton and Glenfield. The women showed beauty, grace and mainly spirit for life! One of the models was also the wife of H.E. Stefano Benazzo, Ambassador of Italy who used the occasion to send her personal massage to all ladies to visit their doctors regularly for prevention form breast cancer. Among the guests there were prominent representatives of the state authorities, ambassadors, NGOs, business ladies, etc.

The show is part of the campaign for breast cancer prevention that started few days ago under the patronage of the Italian Embassy and the international pharmaceutical leader AstraZeneca. The aim of the campaign is to raise the social awareness on the breast cancer issue and to spread information about the importance of the early diagnosis for curing the disease. For this purpose a national screening program should be created that should oblige the Bulgarian women to visit their doctors on a regular basis.
