Maria Shishkova is the New Chairperson of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum

Minister Roumen Ovcharov greeted the BBLF members

Today, Ms. Maria Shishkova, Managing Partner of AIMS Human Capital in Bulgaria and Macedonia became the new Chairperson of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum on the Annual General Meeting of the organization. The event was attended by more than 100 business and media representatives and the official guests were Mr. Roumen Ovcharov, Minister of Economy and Energy and H. E. Jeremy Hill, British Ambassador.

"Recently there are positive tendencies for the Bulgarian economy. The challenge in front of us is how to make them constant and stable and the solution can be found in the close partnership between the business and the Government", said Minister Ovcharov at the beginning of the General Meeting of the Forum. The improvement of the country competitiveness, the development of innovative productions and the change of the Bulgarian image among the other EU countries were among the issues that need special attention according to the Minister. Mr. Maxim Behar, former Chairman of the Forum presented Minister Ovcharov with the BBLF Business Ethics Standard, accepted by more than 1500 companies in Bulgarian.

H.E. Jeremy Hill, Bristish Ambassador also addressed the BBLF members at the beginning of the General Meeting. He congratulated Mr. Maxim Behar for his exceptional contribution to the development of the Forum during the last 6 years and to its transformation into the leading organization for ethical business in Bulgaria.

The event went on with the elections for new Managing Board of BBLF. Mr. Mario Al-Jebouri, Partner of Forem Consulting was chosen for Deputy Chairman and Mr. Gilbert McCaul, Partner of KPMG - for Controller.

Among the newly elected members of the Managing Board are: Mr. Borislav Stratev, Managing Partner of Deloitte, Mr. Christo Iliev, CEO of AG Capital, Mr. Konstantin Tilev, Vice-President of Radio FM+, Ms. Silva Zurleva, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nova TV and Ms. Vanya Kaneva, Deputy Executive Director Human Resources of Overgas Inc. Mr. Nikolay Hadjidonchev, Managing Director of Actavis Bulgaria, Ms. Rossitza Kostova, Executive Director of USIT Colours and Ms. Zoya Paunova, Country Manager of AstraZeneca were elected for one more term as Managing Board Members.
