First International Forum on Security and Crime Combating in Sofia

The First International Forum on Security and Crime Combating was opened by Mr. Michael Humfris, the leader of the delegation of the European Commission in Sheraton Sofia Hotel. The conference was organized by Bodyguard-Fire-K with the support of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.

The goal of the forum was to gather representatives of the state authorities, businessmen and professionals in order to present challenges and good practices in the filed of crime combating and also to join their efforts for the achievement of a better security of the society.

Different aspects related to crime and the fight with it were discussed during the forum. Security company representatives from Switzerland, Netherlands, Poland and Greece shared their experience in the transport security; the fight with issues like drugs and prostitution; the cooperation between the private security companies and the police and the relation between the insurance companies and the security ones.

Ms. Kamelia Todorova and Mr. Todor Kolev expressed their opinion on the violation of the intellectual property. Among the lecturers were also Mr. Lyubomir Yordanov, Director of International Martial and Secial Tactics Institute and Mr. Prof. Chirkov, who discussed the burning issue of illegal organ transplantation. Mr. Dimitar Kutsarov, President of Bodyguard - Fire - K Ltd. spoke on the topic of the juvenile delinquency and the prevention of taking children out of the country illegally.

The event was attended by more than 150 businessmen, diplomats and media representatives.
