Siemens to establish production of components for high voltage products in Botevgrad

Today Siemens established a factory for the production of components for high voltage products in line with an official ceremony in Botevgrad. This took place in front of Mr. Sergei Stanishev, Prime-Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Michael Geier - Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Yves Saint-Geours - Ambassador of the Republic of France, Dr. Christian Urbanke, member of the board, Siemens Transmission and Distribution (PTD), Erlangen, Germany and Mr. Stoyan Neshev - Chief Executive Officer of Siemens in Bulgaria.

 

The factory is situated in a renovated building in the industrial zone of Botevgrad. The production line comprises the preassembly of parts for instrument transformers for an assembling factory in France, which is working to full capacity due to an increased demand. Instrument transformers are high voltage products, used for measuring tasks in high voltage systems. The Botevgrad factory has occupied approximately 3000 squaremeters in total. Siemens has hired 60 employees.
