Anglo American School of Sofia has a New Face!

On seven hectares of land, the new ultra modern international school
 is a fact!

Today, the entire Anglo American School (AAS) community, previous students and families, friends and business partners celebrated the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art home of AAS. Their Excellencies the US Ambassador John Beyrle, the UK Ambassador Jeremy Hill, the Mayor of Sofia Boiko Borissov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gergana Grancharova welcomed everyone and congratulated AAS on this achievement.

"This school is a symbol of the significance Bulgaria has as a site for foreign investments. It is an expression of our investments in the future of Bulgaria," said Ambassador John Beyrle in his greeting at the ceremony.

Accredited by the Council of International Schools and New England Association of Schools and Colleges, AAS is the only school in Bulgaria which represents the best practices and teaching methods in international education. Offering an instructional program from Pre-kindergarden to Grade 8 in previous years, AAS has now opened a Grade 9 class. With this addition, the school is committed to develop its curriculum to a full high school program in the next few years.

With over 42 nationalities and 39 years of advancement in Bulgaria, the new school complex of the Anglo-American School is an outstanding combination of modern style and Bulgarian Revival architecture. The new facility provides students with all the necessary space, light, comfortable classrooms, and at the same time, keeps the feeling of home, learning comfort and aesthetical warmth inside and outside the building.
