Boston Bulgarian Finance Club Meets BBLF

The BBLF Executive Director, Mr. Stamen Tassev, attended the meeting of the Bulgarian Finance Club Boston at the Harvard Kennedy School of Business on March 11, 2006. The unusual participation was performed via a conference call in which Ms. Claire Hamlisch from UNHCR was also participating.

Mr. Tassev introduced to the members the field of activities of the Forum, as one of the most active and respectable associations, developing projects that span over all spheres of public importance, such as good corporate governance, business ethics, the fight against corruption, education, health care, the environment etc.

The Club members were presented the main projects of the Forum, such as the first in Bulgaria Business Ethics Standard, which has already been signed and adopted by over 1,200 companies all over Bulgaria, the Annual Awards for Responsible Business, the Responsible Business Directory, Masters Business Classes etc.

The Bulgarian Finance Club Boston brings together students and working professionals with diverse background including finance and accounting, marketing and management, academics and research to name a few. Their main objective is to encourage and foster stronger ties between Bulgarians in USA and particularly in Boston area, through  providing opportunities for the young professionals and experts and students in business related fields to network and to engage in business and social activities.
