BBLF Starts 2006 with New Team and New Projects

The new BBLF Executive Director, Mr. Stamen Tassev, and his team were officially introduced to BBLF members and media. Mr. Tassev is a business administration expert who has served as a Deputy Minister of finance until recently. Previously he has worked as a Commercial Attache in New York and a country manager for large international companies such as Sony, Newton Finance Management Group и KPMG / Barents Group.

"BBLF has already become a leading business organization in Bulgaria and our colleagues from International Business Leaders Forum often give us as an example for its achievements. I am convinced that Stamen Tasev would be an experienced, balanced and innovative business manager of the organization", Maxim Behar, BBLF chair said.

New initiatives for 2006 were introduced together with the new team of the organization. BBLF will enter school rooms under its latest project "Business Hour".

BBLF plans to implement the "Business Hour" initiative in the professional business schools in Sofia. In these classes the students will have the chance once a month to meet middle and senior managers from BBLF member companies who would show them the real business in details. The initiative is part of the ENGAGE project organized by the forum two years ago aiming at involvement of the employees of the BBLF members in socially responsible activities.

BBLF is also planning to further develop its biggest project - the Business Master Classes for students by organizing them in Varna as well. Over the last six years BBLF Business Master Classes took place only in Sofia universities and now the forum is planning to take them to Varna, it emerged Thursday. Four universities will be involved in the classes.

The forum will also keep on developing its other projects. The Business Leaders Olympics will take place for the third time and annual Awards for Socially responsible business will be handed for the fourth time now.

During 2006 BBLF will focus on anti corruption initiatives, following the example set in the Declaration for fight against corruption signed along with Bulgarian Convention and Visitors Bureau (BCVB) and Bulgarian International Business Association (BIBA).
