Meeting of BBLF Members with HE Mr Ian Soutar, Ambassador of UK

On the invitation of the Managing Board of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF), the British Ambassador in Sofia, HE Mr Ian Soutar met with the members of the Forum at Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan.

Mr Maxim Behar welcomed HE Mr Soutar among BBLF members and said he hoped that the British Embassy will continue to support BBLF's initiatives as always.

Ambassador Soutar pointed out that he highly valued the very positive role of BBLF in society and hopes that this will continue in the future. As a newcomer to Bulgaria, Mr Soutar wanted to know more about the individual members of BBLF, how the Forum collaborates with the state agencies and institutions and sees its place in the business community. A special attention in the informal conversation was paid to the issues of ethics and corruption. Ambassador Soutar expressed his opinion that initiatives for eliminating the lower level of corruption are very useful.

Mr Soutar confirmed that the relations of the British Embassy and the British Council with BBLF will continue to be as friendly and active as they have always been.
