Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law obliges the Member States to transpose the rules of the Directive by 17 December 2021.

The Directive sets common minimum standards to ensure a high level of protection for individuals in the private and public sectors who report breaches of Union law.

The process of transposing the Directive into our legislation is at an early stage and may not be finalized before the deadline set by the European Parliament and the Council.
