The New Front-Runners of Bulgarian Business Introduced

25 of the largest companies in Bulgaria start the business season with new general managers. BBLF introduced them to the Bulgarian business community at a specially designed event in Before & After Bar and Diner in Sofia on Thursday, Sept. 8.

 

The new directors of the American University in Bulgaria, Amylum Bulgaria, Ericsson Telecommunications Bulgaria, Globul, Hilton, Sheraton, UNHCR, Kempinski, Investbank and USAID were officially introduced to the business community and the media.

 

‘These managers are now at the head companies playing with billions and employing thousands of people. It is more likely that they will be the ones to help Bulgaria join the EU on time, rather than politicians will. The challenges they face are great, but we at the BBLF trust they will succeed, should they continue to run their businesses transparently and ethically," BBLF Chair Maxim Behar said.

 

Some of the new managers come from their companies' branches abroad, like the directors of the Hiton, the Sheraton and Globul, UNHCR, and USAID. But there are also managers who have grown to the positions after having worked for their companies in Bulgaria for years on end. Such are the cases of Amylum Bulgaria, Xerox, Investbank and many more.

 

‘The company I work for is a world leader in telecommunications and gives a strong base for developing this business in Bulgaria', said in his presentation the new general manager of Ericsson Telecommunications Bulgaria, Mr. Thomas Svanefalk. ‘Our goal is to offer a variety of solutions to Bulgarian operators, thus taking part in their successes'.

 

All new managers presented their vision on companies' development and on Bulgarian business environment in general.
