Just days before March 1, Telenor Bulgaria organizes its regular charity martenizi bazar - Baba Marta Mission.
"The centuries-old Bulgarian tradition - giving and wearing martenizi for health, is an opportunity for Telenor and our employees to be useful to society and groups in need", said Viliana Staneva, Communications & CSR Expertat Telenor Bulgaria.
The charity bazaar is a traditional initiative for Telenor, and this year it is organized in support of the Concordia Foundation. The NGO works with children at risk and children from families with minimal financial resources.
"Baba Marta always brings the widest smiles to all children's faces. At Concordia, our children have an art studio where they make martenizi every year. Besides being a fun activity for them, it helps them learn to do many things. We are glad that this year we have the chance to make martenizi for the Telenor team", commented Julia Yordanova, Fundraising and Communications Manager at the Concordia Foundation.
The funds raised from the charitable bazar will be used by Concordia Foundation for the organization of special art workshops for children. 10 of them are planned, aimed at helping to build children’s fine motor skills.
"Being socially responsible and organizing initiatives of public importance is part of the company's philosophy and Telenor’ team values. It is essential to us that through volunteering and personal example, we can be useful and contribute to something as important and valuable as the development of children from the Concordia Foundation. The feeling of being helpful is a motivation for further similar initiatives ", commented Viliana Staneva.
