60 Interns at Mtel

The President of the American University in Bulgaria Stratsi Kulinski opened the telecom’s 12th internship programme

The 12th edition of Mtel’s internship programme titled Expedition Mtel began today. 60 young people, 3rd or 4th year students at various universities, will be trained in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, finance, legislation, human resources, marketing and corporate communications.

Expedition Mtel was launched by the President of the American University in Bulgaria Stratsi Kulinski who congratulated the young people on their first day in the telecom. "Keep a positive attitude, learn all your life, be kind to the people you work with, and learn from them," Kulinski told students.

During their training the youth will work on real business cases. Furthermore, they will participate in various trainings, volunteer team building activities and online trainings.

Nearly 2,000 youths apply for internship at Mtel each year. The company accommodates some 70 of them, employing a third of them later on. From 2005 until now the corporate programme has included over 900 young people. The telecom’s investment in their training and development has exceeded BGN 3 million.

Mtel's internship programme is part of the company's policy in support of the professional development of young talent. The company also supports future professionals through partnerships with many of the biggest Bulgarian universities.
