Telenor Closed 12th Internship Programme

Telenor closed its 12th annual Internship Program with a special ceremony at the company headquarters. Some 50 students from various Bulgarian universities took part in this year’s edition of the programme.

During their two-month paid internship with Telenor, the students had the opportunity to obtain new knowledge in a real-life professional environment. They performed various tasks within their respective departments’ everyday operations and developed special projects under guidance of personal tutors. All interns also passed presentation skills training and the company’s special induction programme which introduced them to the Telenor culture, structure, mission and values.

A total of 24 Telenor divisions welcomed trainees within this year’s programme, including Customer Care, Business Sales, Corporate Affairs, Human Resources, Value Creation, Business Marketing, Network Operations & Maintenance, Strategic Finances and other technical and operational units. Participants in the 2015 Internship Programme were selected among 1,500 candidates.

It is no wonder that so many of them join our team after completing their studies”, Telenor Chief Corporate Affairs Director Mr. Yassen Guev said.

The Telenor Traineeship Program is now in its 12th year. So far, the operator has invested more than BGN 1 million in developing and supporting Bulgaria’s young talents. By 2015, more than 450 young people have been part of the program and nearly one third of them have joined the company team.
