A group of CEZ 2015 Internship Programme participants painted the fence of the Daga, or Rainbow home for children with mental disabilities in Sofia. The social institution currently accommodates 24 children aged 3 to18 years.
"We are proud that our future power engineers put in a lot of zeal and effort in making the home more welcoming to its inhabitants. They volunteered their efforts doing their best", Vanya Kaneva, Human Resources Director at CEZ Bulgaria said.
CEZ Bulgaria regularly carries out volunteering projects involving employees and top managers. They have renovated nursery facilities in a number of kindergartens in the areas the company operates in, replaced regular bulbs with energy-saving ones, cleaned yards, collected children's clothes and books, etc. Children of company staff prepare and donate season’s greetings’ post cards to nursing homes. What is more, electric power boxes are voluntarily cleaned and renovated by volunteers.
Companies from the CEZ Group in Bulgaria have designed and implemented a long-term corporate social responsibility strategy. The Invest in Bulgaria project was launched in support of areas the Group operates in. Top priorities include energy efficiency, investment in young talents , improving the urban environment and the environment.
