Postbank Business Run 2015, Brings Together over 900

150 teams ran 2,400 kilometers in the third edition of this country’s biggest teambuilding

On 7 June employees of 150 companies from different industries ran 2,400 kilometers in the third edition of Postbank Business Run, the biggest corporate relay race (www.businessrun.begach.com) organised by Begach club and Postbank. In addition, children aged from 4 to 16 years competed in Kids Run.

For a third year in a row, the winner is SAP Top Team from SAP Labs. The team ran the 16 km route for the impressive 59:05 minutes beating their own result at last year’s marathon where they ranked first with 1:03:14 minutes. The Actavis team ranked second and the third team was AMBELINO. The best of Postbank’s 7 teams ranked eighth with 1:07:28.

“The team spirit ensures success in each race. Congratulations to every one of you for your enthusiasm and teamwork. For us, at Postbank, every investment in society is valuable and I am happy that today we have your support for a good cause and providing a better future to our children”, Doncho Donev, Head of Capital Markets Division at Postbank said. He awarded the winners in Postbank Business Run 2015.

Winners in this year's marathon edition received a special gold-plated relay sticks and the teams that ranked second and third place got them in silver and bronze, respectively.  The special Postbank award, Fastest Ladies’ Team, went to HP’s team who competed with male and mixed teams.

The initiative raised BGN 8,040 for charity. These will be donated to For Our Children foundation to fund  therapies that the St. Sofia Support Centre provides to children with specific needs or development issues.

This year, Postbank Business Run gathered 600 participants, divided into teams of 4 runners who had to test their endurance and team spirit by running 16 kilometers in total. The corporate relay race organised by Begach Club and Postbank proved to be the most popular one so far as it also attracted over 300 spectators.
