Athlete Nicole Stamboliyska Voted Eurofootball’  Sport Talent Of The Audience

Athlete Nicole Stamboliyska from Kyustendil won convincingly Eurofootball’s  Sport Talent of the Audience poll. She got the record-breaking 910 votes in the poll on www.erofootball.bg. Thus the 18-year-old became the 33rd athlete the Bulgarian bookmaker will support via its "Sports Talents" programme.

The promising athlete will be supported with 4,000 leva. The money will be spent on three training camps, equipment, physical rehabilitation and food supplements. The young athletes’ objectives are to improve her personal record for 100 meters, going under 12 seconds and participating in major international competitions and tournaments, namely the European Championship for youth of  up to 23 years and the European Championship for men and women.

"Thanks to everyone who believed in me and voted for me!”, the young athlete  said upon getting the news. "I am getting up and going to bed thinking about athletics. I’m sure it will be a huge help for me, a  great motivation to have a very successful year. Thank you!"

A month ago, Nicole Stamboliyska won the silver medal at the National Championship for senior youth   (14-15.02.2014) – 60 metres in Dobrich. The young athlete ran the distance in 7.93 seconds thinly outrunning  Viktoria Tencheva from Plovdiv, another of Eurofootball’s Sports Talents.

A total of 7,747 votes were cast in the poll held in March 2014 to determine www.eurofootball.bg users’ favorite athlete. Users could vote for 87 athletes from 33 disciplines.

The Sport Talent of the Audience poll is part of Eurofootball’s Sports Talents programme that has provided financial support to athletes for 3 years now. The initiative is part of the bookmaker’s wide-ranging social project Win and Help that launched in 2007 and has so far funded 16 community campaigns.
