AstraZeneca Bulgaria Best Employer in Europe

AstraZeneca Bulgaria was announced a Ruban D`Honneur winner at the Employer of the Year Award 2012, part of the European Business Awards. Ms. Zoya Paunova, AstraZeneca CEO, collected the prize at a formal ceremony in Istanbul. The prestigious recognition came in result of nearly two years of competition between 15,000 companies from 34 countries which had entered the European Business Awards. As we reported earlier this year, AztraZeneca Bulgaria was one of 10 finalists in the Ruban D`Honneur category. Prizes go to companies with best business practice, in innovation and ethical standards included.

“We praise the award as it is both a recognition for the company and for our team. It acknowledges the commitment, professionalism and dedication as well as the trust of employees in their company as a good employer brand with a mission. It is our mission to create medicines that improve patients’ health and quality of life applying innovation and leadership in the scientific field”, Ms. Paunova said after receiving the Ruban D`Honneur prize.

The recognition ranks AstraZeneca Bulgaria among the most dynamically developing companies in Europe. The company triumphed in the Ruban D`Honneur category after winning over 200 entrants from 28 countries in Europe.

The European Business Awards were held for the sixth consecutive year. Entrants competed in 10 categories submitting video presentations while at the final stage companies presented their business programmes live before a jury comprising 5 representatives of leading Eoropean companies.
