The project “Ambassadors of Care” aims to support and develop the local communities in the locations where DXC operates through donations and volunteering. This project is a natural extension of our mission to use the power of technology to build a better future for our customers, colleagues, communities and the environment. The best ambassadors of every company’s values are its own people. At DXC we believe that empowering and supporting them is the best way to drive positive change in society, so our CSR strategy revolves around enabling our people to do good together as a team. In 2023, our "ambassadors of care" implemented numerous activities to help disadvantaged people; victims of natural disasters; to support equal access to education; to improve the environment.

The project supports a wide range of target groups, including disadvantaged people; victims of natural disasters; residents of local communities; and also, our employees, among whom we encourage charity and volunteering activities. We reach the target groups through a specially created online platform for donations and registration of volunteer work - DXC Cares, and thanks to the tireless efforts of our team of employee ambassadors.

The team of employee ambassadors was established in Bulgaria in 2017, expanding the scope of its activities every year. As a natural extension of the company's desire to encourage philanthropy and volunteerism among its employees, the team's activities gradually focused on the development of local communities, support for disadvantaged groups and organizing emergency aid.

Aligned to our overall CSR strategy to promote inclusion and to support communities, these activities enable our employees to engage with each other while bringing a positive change through action: • Community We organize the donation of laptops to children from economically vulnerable families, which helps them continue their education in remote setup. We host regular and emergency charitable actions to support different causes and disaster victims, such as Ukrainian war victims, or those impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Our largest donation initiative is aimed at raising funds for scholarship to students deprived of one or both of their parents in collaboration with BCause foundation. We are recognized as a partner to the National Transfusiology Center and facilitate regular blood donation campaigns. • Environment We refresh urban parks, plant trees, renovate equipment in public areas. In 2023 we brought positive change by planting trees in Negovan and in Sofia – in the Business Park and the South Park; restoring and repainting benches in the South Park in Sofia; renovating parts of the City Zoo in Varna; and volunteering our time in animal shelt

The activities are long-term and bring sustainable positive change. In 2023 we continued to support children from economically vulnerable families with laptop donations, reaching a total of more than 2,000 donations for the past three years. 951 of our colleagues raised more than BGN 160,400 to support the “Get ready to succeed” charity program of the BCause foundation. Around Christmas our colleagues donated over 7 tons of food, which our volunteers turned into more than 800 food packages and distributed to people in need in the areas of Sofia, Plovdiv, and Varna. Our contributions, even if small, change the lives of the beneficiaries and the volunteers involved. We believe, we are triggering a chain reaction so the care for others, the community, and the environment, is multiplied.
