Dual education makes it possible to secure the qualified personnel necessary for business through higher quality professional education in Bulgaria. Dual education significantly reduces youth unemployment and thus supports the country's economy, the alternation of practice and theory creates variety for students and motivates them to acquire knowledge and skills more successfully, forms qualified young specialists ready to start work immediately after graduating from high school. The students have the opportunity to receive a diploma for completed secondary education and at the same time a "Certificate of Professional Qualification", receiving a state scholarship for the first three years of their studies and a salary for the last two years of their studies.

The project is aimed at high school students. Every year, information campaigns are organized in cities and schools where there is a dual form of education. The initiatives are held jointly with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce and company representatives in order to popularize this form of training.

Since 2015 until nowadays.

The employer actively participates in the educational process of the students. During the first three years, he held regular meetings with them, supported the teachers in the profiled subjects with real cases from practice. Organize company visits to get a real-world view of the work environment and the work students will be doing in the last two years of their studies. Representatives from the campaign are part of the exam committee of the state exam for high school seniors. Meetings are organized with the individual units in the company to familiarize the students with the various functions in the company. Actively participate in all events organized by the employer: sports activities, team building, courses and trainings.

From 2015 to 2023, 48 students went through the dual education program in METRO Bulgaria. Currently, a total of 38 students are being trained in the METRO stores during the work process. Another 75 students are in the first three years of their studies at the school. Of all those who have completed their studies, 11 students have chosen to continue working in the company.
