Project Aim
To meet the demand to develop skills and experience matching the requirements of the high-tech projects in the field of mobility, on which the fast-growing teams work, Bosch ECS deploys a comprehensive program of trainings and development of its specialists and continuously enriches the professional qualification programs for young specialists.
The company follows a competency model and a set of measurable indicators to identify the necessary additional knowledge and skills.

• The current employees of Bosch Engineering Center Sofia - software engineers with specific skills
• The Management team and the team leaders of the Center
• Specialists with engineering and IT specialties, with a suitable profile and qualification from Bulgaria and abroad
• Young people with potential to career development in the automotive sector
Project Duration
The project started with the opening of the Bosch Engineering Center Sofia 5 years ago is constantly being upgraded with good practices as a responsible employer.
ECS takes care of creating a sustainable environment, offering long-term employment and education, as well as support in the professional development of its employees.
Project Activities
The training and development programs for employees are over 45 and certification programs over 15.
In 2023, ECS continued to develop the knowledge and skills of the managers in the organization with upgrade training for graduates of the Team and Group Lead Academies in 2022.
The topics of the upgrade trainings are chosen by the participants, and the group leaders have the opportunity for individual coaching sessions.
For those promoted to leadership positions, the Team Lead Development Program and the Group Lead Development Program are organized for the third time.
Additionally, programs for specific technical trainings have been deployed.
Training programs are developed not only for employees, but also for motivated future specialists.
For nearly 2 years, more than 50 students and young professionals successfully completed the two editions of the Bosch ECS Career Camp Engineering Academy and became part of the Center's engineering teams.
Partnerships with schools, higher education institutions and the dual education program directly contribute to both the recruitment and retention plan and the development of the learning environment and ecosystem.
Project Results
In 2023, ICS supported the participation of +430 colleagues in +200 training courses and programs (60 locally and over 150 globally organized) for nearly 1300 teaching hours.
In 2023, the employees successfully completed nearly 880 training sessions, of which:
- Over 670 specialized trainings for activity and project specific technical skills
- And nearly 200 sessions including Soft Skills and language programs
Employee training programs are deployed, such as:
- Specific technical training and certification programs
- Communication and presentation skills, time management and personal effectiveness
- Training programs to create strong and cohesive teams
- Building a culture of feedback
