Project Aim
Guided by our philosophy ‘we give where we live’ with the Time to Make Tomorrow program by the Community Board, we aim to enhance the development of a supportive environment for various vulnerable groups in society through active partnerships with civic and educational organizations. This ensures that the social investment of 170,000 BGN reaches the maximum number of beneficiaries in the fields of education, healthcare, and the environment in an effective and positive way. We have the program for ten years, making it as beneficial as possible with two open calls per year. The support is timely and sustainable for the communities, and the initiatives provide opportunities for further development and multiplication of the positive impact of the project activities
Project Target Group
The program aims to support the youth in Bulgaria their families, and the communities where they live. Without access to timely and adequate assistance and resources, the health and well-being of many young people are at risk. We reach them through the projects of funded organizations, campaigns on our social networks, and targeted publications. Annually, through the activities of the funded projects, our partner organizations provide support to an average of 10,000 youngsters and their families
Project Duration
Since 2007, TELUS International and its team members have impacted the lives of over 1.2M people worldwide through volunteering and charitable donations, incl. contributions of the Community Board in the countries where we operate. TELUS International's foundation in Bulgaria is the eighteenth international Community Board. Since its establishment in 2015, the foundation annually conducts its donation program, inviting non-profit organizations to apply with their socially significant projects.
Project Activities
In order to facilitate the application process for organizations, in 2020, the CSR team introduced a simplified form and application process, as well as updated the foundation's website. For the 2023 annual cycle, the workflow included: Issuing two calls for project submissions from civil organizations. Conducting two jury meetings for project evaluation and ranking. Preparation and presentation of reports on the results achieved by projects funded through the program in 2022 and the development of those supported in 2023. Communication: messaging to the media, social media posts, and website updates for open calls to the NGO sector, aiming to popularize the causes for the purpose of multiplying the positive impact for the beneficiaries. We engage not only company employees but also the general public by proactively publishing information about supported projects and the causes of organizations through video content created by them, progress updates on project activities, reaching an audience of over 23,000 people. The CSR team at TELUS International is available for continuous support to candidates and approved NGOs throughout the year with expert consultations, meetings, etc
Project Results
The project proposals received over the years are 1700+ and 166 were funded, with approx. BGN 1,500,000 in support for over half a million people. The analysis of the achieved results and impact, conducted internally, indicates positive changes in the environment and a progressive evolution in attitudes and approaches of civil organizations. The supported projects build upon their activities sustainably, leveraging gained experience, finding alternative funding sources, and continuing their work with target groups. For example, popularization of a handbook for preventing and addressing school violence, created video materials reach new beneficiaries, the Emprove Foundation #Ranobudna Chatbot on Viber continues to support thousands of young girls and women at risk or in a toxic environment
