The aim of the project is to improve the overall living conditions in the protected homes at Vidrare ("St. Pantaleimon") and Pravets. Over the past 3 years, the EKO Bulgaria team has been united around the cause to contribute to the social life in both homes, to build friendships with the residents and help them be an appreciated part of society. With the annual donation of fuel for heating and various renovations, the aim is to make the places feel more like home than an institution.

The cause of EKO Bulgaria has been implemented for the last 10 years and is an invariable part of the company's future plans. Throughout the calendar year, a variety of activities are carried out to support the protected homes and their residents: repairs and renovations, donations and visitations.

Among the realized investments and projects by the volunteer team of EKO Bulgaria are: - complete renovation of the kitchen areas in both protected homes, replacement of lighting fixtures, wardrobes and storage cabinets, - repair of external facade and staircase and other cosmetic repairs; - provision of over 5,000 liters of fuel for heating; - provision of a monthly allowance for fuel for basic transport – 250 liters per month - regular visits of the whole team, incl. for holidays such as Christmas, Easter, March 1. - providing gifts and covering some of the most urgent needs of the residents such as new clothes, shoes, games, etc. The company's plans for 2024 include festive initiatives, concerts, various activities related to art and shared time, gardening and cooking, as well as joint preparation for significant events and additional organization to improve the material base.

EKO Bulgaria "adopted" the protected homes in Pravets and Vidrare, investing in change and a good social example for improving living conditions and actively participating in providing support and interpersonal communication, which is sorely lacking in the lives of the residents of the homes. The living conditions in the two homes are constantly being improved with renovations, new furniture and planned repair works, and this creates conditions for the residents to live smiling and in the best possible environment and to socialize.
