Project Aim
For the first time in its activities in Bulgaria, JTI has created a project that is simultaneously aimed at the wellbeing of the company’s employees and at charitable activity. Through the project called ‘Move. See. Help.’, the company challenges its employees to live a more active life, with every action they take within the program generating a donation to the Jamba Career Center for people with disabilities.
Project Target Group
The project is aimed at two target groups - the company's employees, for whom we created the initiative in order to improve their physical health and provoke them to move more, and a target group outside the company - the team of the Jamba Career Center for people with disabilities. We reach our employees through direct contact, just as we reach the Jamba team. 36 employees participated in the initiative and the Jamba team consists of 6 employees.
Project Duration
The project took place in July and August this year. During this period, JTI Bulgaria employees visited 265 different locations, made 19 million steps, cycled over 2,400 kilometers, and swam over 240 kilometers. Some of them even participated in marathons such as the Vitosha 100, Tryavna Ultra and Balkaniada. Their families and friends also joined the project and contributed to the employees’ motivation.
Project Activities
Move. See. Help is a project that was simultaneously aimed at the good physical and mental health of the company's employees, and at charitable activity. Through it, the company challenged its employees to live more active and healthy lives, with every action they took within the program generating a donation to the Jamba Career Center for people with disabilities. Participation was voluntary and each employee had the opportunity to collect points by visiting natural and cultural attractions in Bulgaria from a list of over 300 sites proposed by the company, or through physical activities such as walking, running, swimming, cycling. 36 employees of JTI Bulgaria took part in the initiative. The points collected from all the activities of the participating employees were converted into a financial donation to Jamba.
Project Results
At the end of the project, which lasted 63 days, a very large number of colleagues shared their personal impressions. According to them, the cause and the good structuring of the project in the company allowed them to increase their physical activity many times, to share quality time with their loved ones and colleagues, as well as to enrich their knowledge about the country in which we live. Having a noble cause as well as a video message from the Jamba team to the JTI Bulgaria employees has played an important role in motivating the employees to achieve maximum points. The funds raised from the project, donated to Jamba, were invested in training and rewards for the center's employees.
