Project description

Project Aim

In April 2023, we launched the MentorMate University Foundation Program – a global six-month educational initiative that provides talented individuals the opportunity to kickstart their careers in various technological fields. The program is remote and entirely free. The project's primary goals include the development of individuals with a passion for acquiring knowledge and skills in the technology sector.

Project Target Group

The program caters to a diverse audience beyond our company’s talent pool: 1. Students studying disciplines related to software development, data engineering, or quality engineering (QE). 2. Individuals looking to change their career path with knowledge in software development or QE. 3. People with basic experience in software development or QE.

Project Duration

Dedicated to empowering Bulgaria's IT community, our six-month MentorMate University Foundation Program provides an opportunity for motivated individuals aspiring to take their first steps in the technology field to acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills for this purpose.

Project Activities

The training comprises a theoretical module and a practical component in the form of a demo project in the healthcare sector. It simulates a real professional environment and work in Scrum teams involving a Product Owner and Scrum Master. Throughout the theoretical part and the development of the demo project, special attention is given to both code quality and the security and accessibility of the product. This includes additional training sessions. Various workshops aid participants in developing their communication skills. Based on their performance, participants can secure a scholarship of up to $3 600, and upon completion, each receives a certificate for their expertise in the chosen field.

Project Results

By offering free education and opportunities for improvement to each participant, we contribute to the development of the IT community by nurturing well-qualified professionals. So far, 30 individuals have successfully completed our program and are currently advancing their careers in the field.
