At Devin, we believe that sustainable business makes a significant contribution in areas that go far beyond the economic dimension. An essential part of our business is to have a positive impact on our employees, partners and consumers, to support local communities and to care for the environment and nature. The goal of our sustainable business behavior policy is to transform ourselves from a positive impact company to one that uses business as a force for good and is part of the Benefit Corporation (B Corp) movement with certification for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. We became the first certified B Corp company in Bulgaria and our main mission is to set an example and help other businesses to take the B Corp path and together be a force for good.

We strive to fulfill part of our mission as a corporation for good - namely, to share our experience and promote the global B Corp community, its principles and assessment criteria, to inspire and encourage other Bulgarian companies to take this path. The main target group of the project is the Bulgarian business. Certified B Corp companies enter a mode of continuous improvement and become next-generation businesses accountable for the impact of their decisions.

Our policy of sustainable business conduct helps us to clearly realize that we are all dependent on each other, which makes us responsible to each ot`her and to future generations. B Corp makes it possible to connect long-term with people with whom we think alike and share the same values and the belief that we, here and now, can make a difference and lead the transformation for a better future for all. We go through an assessment process every 3 years to prove we still meet the standard.

As a B Corp, we strive to fulfill our mission as a company for good, share our experience and promote this global community, its principles and assessment criteria, inspiring other companies to follow suit. Therefore, together with Harmonica we raised the public conversation about the movement and organized and hosted 2 editions of B Corp Café. During the events, we shared important information about how businesses can lead the transformation and how we can all work together for a better future – for people and the planet. The B Corp Café format will develop with the inclusion of more companies from Bulgaria that are awaiting their certification this year. We are doing our best to make the mission of B Corp reach more people, and that is why we have issued a Bulgarian translation of the B Corp Handbook. We sincerely believe that more and more companies in Bulgaria will take the path of sustainable business because they want to transform their strength into a force for good. In the book there is not only inspiration, but also answers to many questions: What is the benefit of B Corp for companies, consumers, society and employees, and How to prepare for the upcoming certification?

B Corp is not just a logo we put on our packaging, but an achievement that shows the commitment of each one of us to a better future for society and nature. For consumers B Corp is a trust in DEVIN products because they know they are produced respecting the environment. For employees, its is care and stability, therefore we constantly strive to improve working conditions and safety and make efforts to provide them with the best opportunities for professional growth. For society, B Corp is a sign that DEVIN is a reliable partner and a socially responsible company with a long-term positive contribution. We are glad that more and more companies in Bulgaria are joining the B Corp community. In recent months, two more companies received their certificates: AMPECO and Humans in the loop.
