Project Aim
“Universe of Opportunities” is our latest CSR project, which aims to support good ideas related to social entrepreneurship for the benefit of society. With the unique digital platform we build upon our 30-year active activities in the fields of education, environmental protection and the promotion of innovation. We firmly believe that positive changes happen in society, driven by purposeful people. Therefore, our mission was to discover and provoke them with our project - social entrepreneurs and digital innovators with the most interesting ideas, following our mission and values, and offering our special support for the realization of their ideas.
Project Target Group
The project targets the widest possible range of people and organizations. Everyone can apply for funding for their idea, as well as give their vote in support of a desired project. We created the digital platform 30yearspostbank.bg, where the participants could present their project, and in the second stage the audience could vote for them. We turned the participants into ambassadors of the initiative, not forgetting to include in the process our employees, who also chose their winner.
Project Duration
We launched our latest CSR project in May 2021. The platform was open for applications until July 10th, and by the end of the month people had the opportunity to vote for their chosen project, thus identifying the 30 best ideas that continued in the final third stage, when an independent jury reviewed and evaluated the applications and announced the three winners - one in each category. We are about to develop the project in 2022.
Project Activities
We implemented the project in three stages, and on September 14th at a special event at the University Botanical Garden we awarded the winners. 30 of the 238 projects with potential in the key areas of Digital Innovation, Education and Green Projects reached the final stage of the competition, and after a decisive vote by an authoritative jury, the three winners were selected - one project in each. The value of the financial support received by each winner is BGN 10,000, which commits the author to a deadline for the implementation of his project within 6 months from the date of receipt of funding.
We used wide communication mix to reach the participants and provoke them to join the project. We also had to engage the audience to vote for the finalists. We included many press releases, PR materials, videos, display (wallpaper and animated banners) and Facebook advertising, information through all internal channels (website, notifications via Internet banking, mobile application EVA Postbank, Digital Office and internal newsletter), direct communication via Viber and the customer newsletter), published in the Bank Stories newspaper.
Project Results
We witness great interest, with a total of 238 projects registered in the platform. Over 85K users visit the 30yearspostbank.bg platform in just 2 and a half months. In phase two, 20,664 votes were counted. Visitors return to the site to follow the stages of the competition. The platform generates interest not only in Bulgaria but also at the level of the USA, the European Union and the UK.
The digital campaign has achieved impressive results:
- over 2.57M unique users
- Total impressions - over 12 million
- over 38,500 user clicks on our platform
- The event is attended by over 10 leading media
